Identifying Machine Matrices in Political Signatures
An analysis of the geometric perfection found in automated signatures used by high-level executives and politicians.
Read →The sports memorabilia market is riddled with forgery. We anchor the provenance of physical signatures to the blockchain using high-resolution spectral scans and cryptographic hashing.

Modern forgers use period-correct ink formulas derived from vintage pens. A human expert examining a signature under a standard loupe has a documented 45% error rate when judging ink composition alone.
A standard Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is merely a piece of printed cardstock. It is substantially easier and cheaper to forge the COA than the actual autograph itself.
When an item changes hands, its history relies on anecdotal evidence and paper trails that can be fabricated. Without an immutable ledger, provenance is a handshake agreement.

Traditional authentication relies heavily on the "expert eye." An authenticator looks at loop structures, slant, and flow, comparing them to known exemplars. This process is inherently flawed. Exhaustion, bias, and the sheer skill of modern autopens make visual inspection inadequate for high-value assets.
Read the Forgery Report →We do not rely on subjective human opinion. We digitise the physical properties of the signature and the substrate to create an irrefutable cryptographic proof.
We scan the signature under 12 distinct UV and IR wavelengths. This reveals ink pooling, pen pressure depth, and substrate fiber structure, creating a unique 3D chemical fingerprint.
The resulting 800MB spectral data file is passed through a SHA-256 algorithm. This produces a fixed-length cryptographic hash representing the absolute physical truth of the item.
The hash, along with timestamp, GPS coordinates of the scan, and the owner's public key, is minted as a zero-knowledge proof to the blockchain. It cannot be backdated or altered.

In 2021, a graded #57 rookie card was sold for $720,000. Post-sale spectral analysis revealed the signature ink was manufactured post-1998.
The traditional authentication industry has zero financial incentive to adopt rigorous scientific standards. They charge by the item, relying on volume and the aura of expertise.
Autograph Blockchain changes the economic model. By providing open-source tools and an immutable public ledger, we are forcing transparency into an opaque market.
| Metric | Traditional COA | Autograph Blockchain |
|---|---|---|
| Evaluation Method | Subjective visual inspection | Multispectral topography & chemical analysis |
| Data Storage | Centralized proprietary database / Paper | Decentralized Ethereum Mainnet |
| Forgery Resistance | Low (COAs easily duplicated) | Cryptographically Impossible |
| Provenance Tracking | Manual paper trails | Automated Smart Contracts |
Stop relying on pieces of paper to prove the value of your assets. Move to cryptographic certainty.

The conflict of interest in traditional authentication is glaring. The people grading the items often have financial ties to the auction houses selling them.
Autograph Blockchain was founded by former forensic data analysts and distributed systems engineers. We do not buy, sell, or hold inventory. We build infrastructure.
